Commemorating life and legacy of Count Leo Tolstoy, 
one of Russia’s most renowned novelists and thinkers, by studying the case of Tolstoy Farm, 
a community run in a suburb of Johannesburg by Mohandas Gandhi in 1910-1913, 
and by further examination of how Tolstoy and Gandhi influenced liberation movements in Africa.
